Maggie Mae rules! Every one knows it. I would be kicked out before this Border Collie was. Thank goodness, my husband has never had to choose. Maggie would win hands down and I would be packing my bags. I don't really blame him, though, Maggie is smarter than me.
Foster Dog Gentry is learning and catching on very quickly. We still like to bark at lifestock but that is slowing down. I must first teach her to stop before I can teach her to start.
Gen has the rules of the dog world down. See her submission and see Maggie acting as if she sees nothing.

I just wish my family listened to me as well as our dog does. Mind you lately she is giving me some attitude too.
Those border collies are brilliant aren't they.
I have a special place in my heart for border collies. No other breed can quite compare to them. Just want wanted to stop by and says thanks for following my blog.
Oh Gail.. She is lovely. My brother lost his border collie to bone cancer a few years back. That dog was the most incredible dog I have ever known.. next to my chocolate lab of course. He was so smart, and so incredibly intuitive, It was pretty amazing. I doubt your hubby would pick her over you, but it is nice that they don't have to choose!
Maybe Gentry is just singin' her a little song, ya know...like..."Wake up Maggie I think I've got something to say to you.... Maggie is quite the dog isn't she?
Enjoy your day...down on the farm! :o)
When I die, I want to come back as one of your dogs.
How great that Maggie Mae and you are fostering dogs. Maggie does sound really smart.
Border Collies are nearly as smart as us English Shepherds ;-)
(I have to say that in case the two that live with us hear me...)

By the picture I can see that Maggie Mae is a great teacher!
She's smart AND she's pretty. That's major competition. What's the flea situation?
I don't know if I could handle a dog as smart as Maggie. She'd run circles around me. I'm to used to my very laid back cocker spaniel. He's got a California attitude. He takes it easy.
I love border collies! We have a boy one, Jesse. He rules the roost too!!
Coming over to say "Hi" from Queen Size Funny Bone!!
Love the name Maggie May. Did you ever read those true story books about border collies by that author, I think John Katz? They are pretty good.
