An International Farm

Some one asked about Gelbvieh cattle and their origin...Germany. I started thinking about the origin of all the beasts around here. You know there's trouble when I get to thinking.

Haflinger horse...Austria, Boer Goat...South Africa, Arabian horse...Arabian Peninsula, Tabby Cat...Africa, Border Collies...Scotland/England. Is there anything that originated in America on this farm??? Yes, the American Quarter Horse...America.

So we have a international farm instead of an Arkansas farm. I didn't even bothering checking the origin of the chickens!

All the snakes, I believe, are American.

Heard of everything EXCEPT those darned cattle!..how do you pronounce it?
Thank goodness we have only 2 varieties of snake in UK--the harmless grass snake and the poisonous viper (=adder) but none would be seen around habitation.
